Take Dave Logan’s BNET blog post Eliminate Your 3 Biggest Time Traps for Good , for example.
Time management, or lack thereof, can make or break not only your productivity but your spirit as well. You can’t sell, you can’t think, you can’t market when you spend a large percentage of your time responding to supposedly “urgent” but not “important” tasks. It is easy to get buried in minutia.
Logan calls these things “Twilight Tasks,” taking their name from a speech by Teddy Roosevelt:
“Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.”
He goes on to cite the characteristics of a Twilight Task, and three proven ways to rid yourself of (or at least contain) them. Read his blog, give his ideas a try and start enjoying new found productivity and peace of mind.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
